Ex-Goldman clique grows at US Treasury

President George W Bush has nominated another ex-Goldman veteran to a senior Treasury post just two months after the bank's former chairman and chief executive Hank Paulson was sworn in as Treasury Secretary.

Robert Steel was a senior director at Goldman Sachs where he held positions including vice-chair and co-head of the bank's equities division. He left Goldman in January 2004 to become a senior fellow at Harvard.
