The former head of National Australia Bank's foreign exchange options desk, Luke Duffy, has been sentenced to 29 months in jail for his part in the A$360m (€228m) trading scandal that shook the bank last year.

Reuters reports that Duffy will spend a minimum of 16 months in jail before he will be eligible for release on a good behaviour order for a further 13 months.
