Ex-UBS trader Adoboli denied bail in deportation case

The Ghanaian had been expected to be released on bail but a tribunal judge said on Tuesday that this could not happen until his case has been reviewed

Convicted rogue trader Kweku Adoboli will be detained at a high-security immigration centre near Heathrow while a UK judge decides whether he should be deported to his native Ghana.

Former UBS trader Adoboli, who served time in jail after losing the Swiss bank $2.3bn through unauthorised trading in 2012, won a last-minute reprieve from deportation last week after the UK Home Office agreed to review his case.
