Ex-Warburg Pincus director closes €660m fund

Englefield Capital, the UK mid-market buy-out firm created by former Warburg Pincus high-flyer Dominic Shorthouse, has exceeded the target for its first fund, closing it at €660m ($693m).

Shorthouse left Warburg Pincus, where he had co-founded its European flagship office in London, after 12 years to set up Englefield Capital with four partners - Etienne de Villiers, Eric Walters, Adam Barron and Edmund Lazarus.
