Exchange-traded derivatives hit record $372 trillion

Exchange-traded financial derivatives rose 8% to a record $372 trillion (€298 trillion) in the three months to the end of June compared with the same period a year ago.

The Bank for International Settlements said in its latest quarterly review that the aggregate nominal value of trading in contracts it monitors rose 22% in the first six months of this year to $370 trillion.
