Exchanges prepare for tick size reforms

New European minimum share price units should tick all the boxes

Europe’s exchanges have a lot on their plates resisting the challenge of their new multilateral trading facility rivals. But this week they are set to make a decision that could have far-reaching implications for Europe’s equities market.

On Tuesday, a trade body representing Europe's stock markets is to outline its plan for European tick sizes - the smallest units in which share prices can be quoted - amid calls from MTFs for a standard approach across Europe.
