A 26% surge in social-media giant's stock this year has helped US equity investors at Harvard’s endowment fund edge their rivals

Harvard University’s US-traded securities held by its endowment are edging rival Yale University’s comparable portfolio so far this year through Tuesday’s close, 9.4% to 9.1%.

FN’s sister-publication Barron’s made the calculation by using the 2018 year-end portfolios both schools reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission last week.
