FCA takes small business under its wing amid Covid-19 crisis

This is the 'first time' the regulator has had a team focused solely on small business needs  

The UK’s financial watchdog has launched a dedicated unit to oversee lending to small businesses during the Covid-19 downturn.

Christopher Woolard, the Financial Conduct Authority’s interim chief executive, announced the unit on 15 April in a letter sent to UK banking chief executives.
