Fidelity Investments, the fund manager with £640bn (€950bn) in assets, has strengthened two of its investment teams based in London with the appointments of Simon Cartwright and Paul Sweeting.

Cartwright joins as a relationship director within the UK segregated and pooled client team from Insight Investment, the fund subsidiary of UK bank HBOS, where he was a business development director.
