Fidelity picks third investment chief

Fidelity Investments has begun to fill senior management positions at its new-look asset management arm, hiring Eric Wetlaufer, a former fund manager at Putnam Investments, as one of three group chief investment officers.

He will oversee teams of portfolio managers and research analysts. He joins Philip Bullen and Bruce Herring, two Fidelity veterans, who were appointed as chief investment officers earlier this year.
