City broker finnCap Group reported record revenues of £46.6m in the year ended 31 March 2021, up 79% from £26m the year before, as it begins to look at acquisitions in the ESG advisory space.

The broker's results, published on 1 July, come as the sector sees record fees during the first half of 2021, fuelled by a surge in blank cheque companies, M&A deals and leveraged finance transactions.
