Former Alpha man becomes hedge fund manager

Simon Kerr, a former analyst at Alpha, the US fund-of-funds manager, has started his own hedge fund called Blackfish Capital Management.

Kerr said he was close to raising his minimum target of $20m (€20m) in assets, and will begin trading his first fund in February 2003.
