The Carlyle Group, the US private equity giant, has boosted its European team with French media heavyweight Yves de Chaisemartin as a senior adviser.

De Chaisemartin, who is currently president of the board of trustees of Altran, a French-based technology and innovation consultancy, spent most of his career with Socpresse, the French media owner.
