Freshfields takes M&A crown for second year

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has topped the European mergers and acquisitions legal advisory league table for the second year in a row, working on 260 deals with a value of €378bn ($498bn).

Freshfields, which also topped the UK league table, advised on deals worth €41bn more than second-placed Linklaters and over €100bn more than Clifford Chance, which finished the year in third place, according to figures from data provider mergermarket.
