FSA clears way for hedge fund floats

The Financial Services Authority has proposed rule changes that will allow hedge funds to list in the UK for the first time.

The FSA said the proposed changes would replace an existing regime, which restricts the use of short selling and derivatives by listed funds, with a more "principles-based" approach to determining eligibility for listing.
