FSA names Spence as a non-exec director

The UK Financial Services Authority has appointed John Spence as a non-executive director to the board of its Money Advice Service. Spence, who is currently chair of HM Revenue & Customs Audit Committee, will be in place from January. He was previously the chair of the British Bankers Association retail banking committee, and has held a variety of executive positions at Lloyds TSB.
