FTSE 100 set to break five-day winning streak

UK stocks retreated on Tuesday, pushed lower by a rise in the pound that came ahead of fresh inflation data that could strengthen the case for a Bank of England rate hike.

The FTSE 100 index lost 0.2% to 7,261.55, set to snap a five-session winning run.
