The City lobbyist tasked with helping to steer the UK's £7tn investment industry through Brexit has become the second to quit the role since the summer.

Jorge Morley-Smith, director for international and Brexit affairs at the Investment Association, left in December — just days after politicians in the UK and Brussels agreed it was time to start crucial discussions on a future trade agreement.
