GAM, the Swiss asset manager, has hired a new fund manager for its emerging markets equities desk, which manages close to $1bn.

Rob Mumford, previously a portfolio manager at Credit Suisse and CQS, who also had a stint as head of Hong Kong and China research at Societe Generale, will work alongside Tim Love and Joaquim Nogueira, who manage GAM’s $910m Multistock Emerging Markets Equity fund.
