Gartmore dropped from F&C trust

The £2.5bn (€3.6bn) Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust has dropped Gartmore from a US equities brief because of performance issues and a shift in strategy away from value and towards growth.

Gartmore's $88m (€67m) portfolio was transferred to the trust's other US equity managers following a recommendation by IMS, its investment adviser, said Jeremy Tigue, the trust's investment manager.
