Landesbank takes legal action over claims it was misled about a complex structured financial product's risk

A German bank sued Goldman Sachs and a Société Générale unit on Monday over a complex structured financial product, claiming it lost at least $37m after being misled about the product's risk.

German bank Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg, or LBBW, claims Goldman and TCW Asset Management engaged in fraud, negligence and other wrongful conduct in the structuring, marketing, management and sale of notes of Davis Square Funding VI, a collateralised debt obligation.
