Germany moves to boost start-up funding

Germany is taking aim at an endemic European problem. No, it’s not the Greek debt crisis –it’s funding for early-stage technology start-ups.

The Deutsche Börse Venture Network, a new, online-only platform for businesses and investors, will hopefully give investors more visibility into European start-ups, said Steffen von Blumröder, head of the financing department of Bitkom, an association of information technology companies.
