GFI revenue growth exceeds rival Tradition

Revenues at GFI Group, the US-listed money broker, increased by 44.8% in the 12 months to December 31, outpacing the 8.1% growth recorded by its closest rival, the Lausanne-based Compagnie Financiére Tradition.

GFI's revenues last year were up from $265.8m (€198.1m) in 2003 to $385m last year. The brokerage's net profits increased to $23.1m, up by almost two-thirds from 2003.
