Former GLG trader rejoins Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley is positioning itself for a pick-up in European equities, hiring a former GLG trader to help manage risk

The former co-head of the UK equity desk at GLG Partners, the hedge fund bought by Man Group in 2010, has re-joined Morgan Stanley, this time in the investment banking department.

Jason Mackay, who left GLG at the end of 2010, has joined Morgan Stanley's equity sales and trading division as a managing director, according to a source familiar with the situation.
