Gold sector bankers cancel annual dinner over Omicron fears

Covid-19 variant leads to cancellation of 1 December event

The London Bullion Market Association has cancelled the sector's annual dinner due to growing concern over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

In a 29 November notice, the LBMA noted the association's "disappointment" in having to cancel the 1 December dinner.
