Goldman’s London bankers on track for at least a 34% raise this year

Goldman Sachs has paid its City employees an average of 34% more so far this year, as Wall Street investment banks prepare for bumper bonuses amid a record deal boom.

The US investment bank has put aside $2.4bn in compensation costs for its 4,013 employees at Goldman Sachs International in the first nine months of 2021, according to newly-released accounts. This is an average payment of $598,000, up from $445,000 at the same point in 2020.
