Goldman Sachs promotes Rominger to CIO

The head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's fundamental equities group has been promoted to a newly created role of chief investment officer, as the changing of the guard at the top of the $779bn (€587bn) fund manager continues.

Eileen Rominger will take overall charge of GSAM's portfolio management operations, including fundamental equities, quantitative strategies, fixed income and GS Investment Partners, a hedge fund business.
