Goldman Sachs snares senior French DLJ banker

Goldman Sachs has hired a senior Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette banker to join its Paris office.

Jean-Michel Steg, a managing director and head of French investment banking at DLJ, which has been bought by Credit Suisse First Boston, will join Goldman Sachs in March next year. M&A deals he worked on at DLJ included Axa's acquisition of Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance.
