Goldman to miss €32bn deal fees as Man bid collapses

Goldman Sachs risks losing out on fees for €32bn ($41.7bn) worth of deals in a week after German truckmaker Man pulled its hostile bid for Sweden's Scania. The withdrawal comes just days after a Spanish power company, which the US bank is also advising, looked set to drop its bid for a rival.

Man released a statement yesterday evening saying its €9.8bn bid had been rejected by Scania's largest shareholders Volkswagen and Investor, the Wallenberg family's investment vehicle.
