Green shoots of recovery in European private equity

New figures show tentative signs of recovery for the private equity market after nearly two years of firms struggling to invigorate their portfolios or raise new capital.

Figures collected by Thomson Venture Economics show fundraising in this year's third quarter doubled that raised in the second quarter this year and touched levels not seen since the heady days of the first quarter of 2002.
