Guy Hands' fund secures Canadian pension investment

Canada's national pension fund is continuing its agressive push into private equity in Europe with a €150m ($145m) investment in Terra Firma Capital Partners, the fund set up by Guy Hands, former head of Nomura's principal finance division.

Hands set up Terra Firma late last year, and is currently raising the firm's first fund with a target of €3bn. The fund has a 10% corner stone investment from Nomura.
