Terra Firma founder Guy Hands "probably wouldn't" adopt a traditional private equity model if he were launching a firm today, despite the fact his firm is in the process of raising a new fund.

Speaking at the London School of Economics Alternative Investments Conference on Monday, Hands pointed to the difficulties of operating with a traditional buyout fund, which makes numerous investments.
