Japanese bank Nomura has hired a former private equity corporate financier and ex-head of technology, media and telecoms M&A at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in a senior role.

Guy Hayward-Cole, who was most recently a managing director at Oakley Capital, joins Nomura in a senior coverage position focusing on UK clients and Europe, the Middle East and Africa TMT.
