Hargreaves Lansdown drops £45m Woodford holding

UK fund manager's problems had a knock-on effect on the funds supermarket, which promoted his products heavily

Hargreaves Lansdown, the UK funds supermarket, has dumped a £45m holding in one of Neil Woodford's main funds, a week after dropping the asset manager from its widely followed Wealth 50 list.

Hargreaves, which previously faced criticism for being too close to Woodford, announced the move in a statement on June 13. It had invested in the Woodford Income Focus fund through its own £562m HL Multi-Manager High Income fund.
