Hargreaves Lansdown extends £5.4bn takeover deadline again

CVC-led consortium has until 5pm on 9 August to make a firm offer or walk away

Hargreaves Lansdown has said it needs more time to weigh a private equity consortium’s bid to take the firm private.

The fund supermarket has been in sale discussions for several months with CVC, Nordic Capital and Platinum Ivy, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
