Hargreaves Lansdown gets new £5.4bn takeover proposal from CVC consortium

Hargreaves Lansdown said that it has received a new £5.41bn takeover proposal from the CVC Advisers-backed consortium that it would be willing to recommend to shareholders if a formal offer were made.

The London-listed retail-investment platform said on 18 June that it plans to start talks with the consortium — which also includes Nordic Capital and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority — over a possible deal.
