Second senior prop trader exits Goldman

A senior trader and managing director in Goldman Sachs' largest internal hedge fund has left – marking the second high-profile departure from the bank's proprietary trading team in less than a month.

Ali Hedayat, 35, who was promoted to managing director in October 2006, has left the bank after more than 12 years, according to a source close to this situation. His exit comes after Pierre-Henri Flamand, a partner since 2004, resigned last month. It is not known what Hedayat's next move is. Flamand is planning to set up his own hedge fund.
