Hedge fund industry inflows increased by $144bn in 2001

The hedge fund industry grew by $144bn (€164bn) in 2001, according to the Eighth Annual Hennessee Hedge Fund Manager Survey.

The hedge fund industry grew by 38% due to manager performance and capital inflows, bringing the total assets under management to $563bn. In 2000, there was $408bn in hedge fund assets.
