Hedge funds run by Caxton Associates, SAC Capital Advisors, Avenue Capital and Blackstone Group have been buying housing-related investments, betting on a rebound. And formerly bearish research firm Zelman & Associates now predicts a housing pickup, as does Goldman Sachs.
