Bank of America Merrill Lynch has enjoyed a bumper start to the fourth quarter with a role on the largest UK IPO since Brexit and a big merger.

The US bank was named as a lead underwriter on the IPO of medical products maker ConvaTec, which is raising roughly $1.8 billion via a listing by early November, on October 3 - the same day its London-based client Henderson Group revealed plans to merge with US-based Janus Capital in a deal that will create an asset manager with more than $320 billion in assets.
