Hermes says its 24% gender pay gap is ‘not good enough’

Hermes Investment Management, one of the loudest cheerleaders in finance for improved corporate governance, has revealed it pays its male employees 24% more on average than their female colleagues.

The £33bn fund manager, which is owned by the BT Pension Scheme, is one of the few big City institutions to have revealed its gender pay gap ahead of a UK government deadline to do so on April 5.
