Hong Kong exchange ramps up after-hours trading service

The bourse joins a number of exchanges targeting new investors with longer trading hours

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has said it will broaden its after-hours futures trading capabilities, as a number of bourses look to longer trading sessions as a way of boosting activity.

As part of a review of the extended trading session which it launched six months ago, HKEx said it would add new contracts to the service, including renminbi currency futures, and plans to launch a block trading facility to help participants manage market impact for large orders.
