Financial services companies in the City are still a long way off from offering the right work environment for ethnic minorities, despite recent efforts to bolster diversity, according to a new index of racial equality in the sector.

Banks, asset managers, private equity firms and insurance companies are still falling short on efforts to create inclusive companies, according to a survey of 800 employees from 440 UK financial services firms by diversity group Reboot.
