HSBC boosts equities team with electronic trading duo

HSBC, the UK bank, has hired two more senior equities staff as part of a plan to overhaul its investment banking business.

It has hired Kevin Bourne, former head of electronic equities trading at Citigroup, and Mark Ryland, who developed equities technology at Merrill Lynch, to help build its equities business by boosting electronic trading capacity.
