HSBC has launched its first net-zero transition plan to meet climate objectives as pressure grows on banks to cut ties with fossil fuels.

The London-headquartered bank said it was focused on helping its high-emitting customers decarbonise and transform their business models, while also providing finance to the “pioneers of the new net-zero economy”.
