HSBC sees equity-linked pipeline beating 2001

European equity-linked deals will beat last year's record issuance of more than €50bn ($43.5bn) and may be twice as high, according to convertibles research by HSBC.

The bank's convertibles analyst, Yevgeniy Zenchenko, lists in his New Issue Projections report some €56.9bn worth of potential deals with a high degree of probability of being struck. In addition, there are another €45bn of deals with a medium degree of probability.
