Icahn and Lichtenstein make $10bn offer for KT&G

US activist investors Carl Icahn and Warren Lichtenstein have made an unsolicited $10bn (€8.4bn) offer to buy KT&G, the South Korean tobacco company.

The two investors said in a statement that their funds have submitted a proposal to the KT&G board to buy the company for 60,000 won per share.
