Icap and Blackbird drop legal dispute

Icap, the London-based moneybroker, has sold its stake in Blackbird Holdings, the small US-based derivatives broker, bringing to an end a legal dispute between the two companies.

Blackbird, which had accused Icap of abusing its position as a shareholder of the company, will acquire Icap's minority stake in the business. It will also acquire certain intellectual property rights.
