Illuminate Financial backs bond-trading fintech

The company’s electronic trading platform is used by Canaccord Genuity and South Africa's RMB bank

Illuminate Financial, the London-based venture capital firm backed by Deutsche Börse Group and IHS Markit, has invested €2m in AxeTrading, a fintech firm that promises to make bond trading easier.

AxeTrading, which recently featured on FN's 10 fintech firms to watch list, provides banks, broker-dealers and buyside firms with a complete picture of fixed income liquidity, sourced across electronic venues, messaging platforms and voice channels.
