Independent advisory houses are looking to hire. The problem is finding the right people

A number of independent advisory houses told Financial News last week that they were looking to hire. The problem, they said, was finding the right people.

This was always a challenge, they said, given the transformation required to move from a bulge-bracket bank to a smaller player. But the task of identifying the right person for the job has been made harder by the departures of an older generation, and changes to how bulge-bracket banks now cover their clients.
